Film description ‘Napoleon’

The film tells the story of Napoleon's rise from young artillery officer to Emperor of France. It focuses both on his military career – including major battles such as Austerlitz – and his passionate and conflict-ridden relationship with Josephine. Ridley Scott emphasises spectacular battles and the psychological portrait of a complex ruler.
