Finally, the two guitar virtuosos Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian have released a ‘Christmas soundtrack’, without Christmas carols, but still full of Christmas music. The album is a tribute to the magic of this time of year. Café del Mundo takes the audience on a fantastic, extraordinary sound journey - from the last working day to the final furious capriccio that starts the new year, Jan Pascal has set everything that happens at Christmas, between the years and at the beginning of the year to music and arranged it for two guitars. When it's finally time to leave the tour for the cosy home, where everything is already festively decorated.

These are songs that harbour warmth, longing and hope. Full of expectant anticipation and great emotions. Sounds that touch the soul, because aesthetics and perfection merge here, creating a very special atmosphere. The two internationally sought-after, exceptional guitarists are masters of their craft, both technically and technically, and at first listen you would hardly recognise their home in the Odenwald. And in terms of passion and respect for the music, their playing is like fire and water, but that is precisely what makes this typical, captivating Café del Mundo sound so full of surprises.

Merry Guitar Christmas’ is also extremely multi-layered: lively and elegant pieces in the style of the Great American Songbook, thoughtful ballads, danceable New Year's Eve party techno, a Ukrainian New Year's song that wishes the other person wealth and success, and of course the incredible “Capriccio furioso”, which Jan Pascal dedicated to Alexander Kilian. In it, the guitar prodigy is able to unfold all his skills. And this is indeed the crowning finale to a unique concert.
